They installed my new Westinghouse upright stove and safely removed the old Ilve stove. They were punctual, professional, careful, and did a great job. Everything was as described, including the removal and take-away of the old stove. Overall, I’m very happy with the service and would happily recommend Addison Appliances. Thank you so much!Posted on Google Jan A29 July 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was very glad to be referred to Addison Appliances by E&S Trading to help with the gas oven and cooktop replacement. My electrification journey started in 2017 with solar, but the gas oven and cooktop sat in the “too hard” basket for several years. This year I resolved to do the retrofit, mainly because cooking with gas has poor health consequences. It would have been an arduous procedure without the help of Addison Appliances. First, my plumber disconnected and removed the gas hob so I could measure the cutout which was a dodgy shape. Second, was a trawl of the internet to find an induction cooktop that could be fitted after enlarging the cutout. Third, Addison Appliances did a beautiful job fitting the only suitable one I could find. I was so happy. Fourth, the same day, Addison’s electricians installed the cables for oven and cooktop. I did not need a switchboard upgrade, but keep this in mind. At this point, the oven was too low and causing me some grief. I tried to find a cabinet maker to raise it but that was a fail and figured I had to live with it. Fifth, I am eternally grateful to Damon from Addison Appliances who put in a shelf to raise the oven when he came to install the strips of melamine either side. Sixth, Sam and his offsider came with a steel frame to cover the white melamine. I think it looks great for a retrofitted 1980s pink kitchen. Total cost was $5320 ($1888 for oven and cooktop from E&S Trading plus $3432 for installation). Since the gas supply charge is $560 per year, just to run a gas cooktop and oven, I figure I’ll recoup this outlay in less than 8 years as gas bills increase. I highly recommend Addison Appliances to help you with your electrification journey. Their tradespeople and admin are highly skilled, very friendly, communicate well and take the headache out of sourcing so many different trades yourself.Posted on Google su ab27 July 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Frequently Asked questions
What does Addison Appliances do?
We are Melbourne’s specialist appliance installation company. We install cooktops, ovens, rangehoods, BBQs, heat pump hot water systems and more across all major brands.
What areas do you service?

We service the greater Melbourne metropolitan area. If you’re unsure whether we cover your suburb, give us a call on 1300 870 742.
How do I get a quote?
Submit a quick enquiry through our online form or call us directly. We often review projects digitally to speed things up, then provide a detailed explanation and transparent quote.
Do you handle gas to electric conversions?
Yes. We specialise in full home electrification, including gas to induction cooktop conversions and replacing gas hot water with heat pump systems.
How long does an installation typically take?
Most standard installations are completed in a single visit. More complex projects, such as full kitchen conversions, may take a full day — and in some cases, we’ll schedule two separate visits to handle the rough-in and finishing stages separately, ensuring everything is done properly. We’ll confirm the exact timeline with you directly and within the quote.
What brands do you work with?
We install appliances from all major brands including Bosch, Miele, Fisher & Paykel, BORA, Gaggenau, Schweigen, Sirius, Qasair, Smeg, Whispair, Asko, Pitt, Westinghouse and many more.
Can you advise on which appliance to buy?
Yes. Product advice is a core part of our service. We can recommend the right appliance for your space, cabinetry and lifestyle before you purchase.
Do you assist with rebates?
Yes. For heat pump hot water installations, we handle the rebate process for you — organising the paperwork and applications so you’re not left waiting for long periods. We make sure everything is submitted correctly and promptly so you can receive your rebate as quickly as possible.
Can you cut stone benchtops?
Yes. We cut nearly all benchtop surfaces, including silica-based stone, using WorkSafe-approved benchtop cutters with full dust extraction and PPE. The only exception is porcelain, which we do not cut as it is prone to shattering during the process.
